Travelling Caribou Art Exhibit

Hello
Jasper National Park celebrates its Centennial this year and at the same time it is feared that there is less than 100 Caribou left in the Park...
SO
In 2005 a call was put out to artists across Canada to build a traveling (migrating) art exhibition - theme Caribou. The show (herd) is now together and opens in the Buffalo Nations Museum in Banff on August 1 2007 - Albertas Heritage Day.
The hope is that this project as it travels will educate viewers about the need to keep wild places wild for the next centuries...it is called TUKTU PRAYERS. Tuktu is inuit for Caribou and the prayer is that there will be caribou for the next century.
www.tuktuprayers.com tells you more.
Please link us to your site - there are two artists from Whitehorse in the exhibition - Jane Isakson and Joyce Majiski.
It would be nice to tell you local newspaper of the evolution of the show - for those local artists. If you have that contact information I would appreciate it.
